North of Seminyak, Canggu includes hotels in Kerobokan, Umalas and Tanah Lot. This area is to some extent an extension of Seminyak, as some folks either try to escape the ever growing crowds or just came late to the party and found Seminyak a bit too expensive and are continuing to look for space north towards Tanah Lot.

Nonetheless we use name Canggu for the entire area north of Seminyak to Tanah Lot. For the most part the area has a more residential feel with many boutique hotels and luxury villa type accommodation spread amongst the rice paddies. Combining a couple of well known beaches, Berawa and Echo Beach, together with a few unique visitor amenities such as equestrian facilities, luxurious spas and Canggu Club make Canggu a much sought after holiday destination.
