Welcome to Bali and thank you for visiting paradise-bali.com. October will be a busy month on Bali with several interesting and fun events on tap. First up is the 8th annual Kuta Karnival running until 3 Oct. Then we head up north to Ubud for the Ubud Writers & Readers Festival, 06-10 Oct. that takes visitors beyond Bali's glossy holiday scene with literary lunches and poetry readings etc. Then Bali goes from the written word to world of motion pictures with the 4th annual Balinale Int'l Film Festival, 12-17 Oct. screening high quality, award winning, and thought provoking films from Indonesia and around the world. And last but not least the annual Nusa Dua Festival will take place 15-19 Oct. with this year's theme of "Green Tourism" there will be a focus on events to help raise the awareness of young people on the need to understand the environment and undertake ecotourism clean up projects within their local communities.
